Part 7.
When you sit still, you can hear them clearly, your guides, your inner voice, your angels, whatever you want to call them.
These pieces were created over a couple of weeks, drawn without a set order in mind. I aimed to craft a series of Buddy pieces and purchased an 11-canvas multipack of the same size. Randomly, I would draw on them throughout the day, finishing each piece before letting it rest. When they were all completed, I laid them out, wondering if a collective narrative would emerge. Much to my delight, a story seemed to reveal itself.
Arranged in a sequence reflecting my own journey, these artworks encapsulate my narrative. It's akin to navigating life's currents while concealing inner struggles behind a persistent smile, unaware of the disconnection in my ideas. Despite persisting with a smile, I feel as though I may be slowly melting beneath life's weight. Yet, I cling to the flicker of hope, yearning to share a message of love amidst it all.
There are moments of rebellion against chaos, moments when I'm convinced of my path. Yet, persistent signs guide me, leading me towards meditation—a journey inward where guides offer counsel. This inward journey feels like a spiral, both daunting and strangely beautiful. Amidst it, I discover, think, and encounter my guides, offering reassurance and safety.
Familiar thoughts and anxieties persist, yet now, I comprehend them better, finding solace in this understanding. I've come to realize that sharing the love I yearn for lies in delving within myself. This body of work encapsulates a lifetime yet also feels akin to a solitary moment—a single morning. It's a reflection of life, born not from a plan but from an intuitive vibe.
I envisioned a series of paintings that tell a tale, refraining from contriving the storyline. Instead, I let the art dictate its narrative. Stepping back, an inherent order emerges, aligning seamlessly to mirror my journey. This ability to perceive the bigger picture has been a profound gift, empowering me to heal what needs mending.
