This album was released in 2009 and has been long out of print.  As I was putting this post together I realized I don’t even have a manufactured copy of the album and had to hit up Discogs to get myself a copy.  The album reflects a time in my life when I was writing lyrics and melodies in a lot of LA sessions for pop stars.  Dark Touches has the song “Tall Boy” which I wrote with Greg Kurstin for Britney Spears.  It looked like we were about to get the song placed with her as a potential single until her infamous head shaving incident.  The world was pretty cruel to her in those days, and I’m glad she’s finally getting the respect for her humanity that we all deserve.  I decided to take a few songs that ended up on the cutting room floor of her along with songs I wrote for Cheetah Girls and a few others to make my own album.
