This is a true artifact of early ‘00s indie history. A test pressing of the first Har Mar Superstar album which was self-titled. 

I began making records as Har Mar in 1999 as reaction to the lack of showmanship in indie music at the time. I was also a huge fan of classic and modern R&B, and the project provided me the outlet to use my vocal chops to their fullest. I was releasing so many albums as Sean Na Na and HMS simultaneously that I decided to pretend to be my own twin brother in the beginning.  Slowly but surely Har Mar became my main project as popularity grew, and I gave up the twin brother act as it got too confusing. This was such an exciting time in my life, and this album led to tours with The Strokes, Gossip, The Pattern, and so many more. 

There were only 8 copies of this test pressing made.  4 of them were autographed by me, and this is number 4.  

It was released by Kill Rock Stars, and the vinyl was a limited edition (long out of print) picture disc with 2 bonus tracks released in collaboration with Blood of the Young.
