This piece special regionalizes the guilt of parenting, the feeling of never doing enough.  The shame is just a game and being present is what really matters.  Sorry was my favorite bored game growing up as well. 

This tufted fiber art is one of the few pieces left from my solo show MOMMY at Lynn Hanson Gallery in Seattle, WA, November 2022  The show was about the struggles and joys of being a mother and being an artist.  
Statement about the show
“An expression of being called Mommy as a full time artist and a full time mother. A show made in-between making taking the kids to school and making dinner. Looking into the studio from the kitchen doorway, my expression is as important as any others.  Thoughts interrupted, guilty work, always a mother.   Mommy Mommy Mommy.  Art made by a mother, for mothers, for anyone who has had a mother.  As you look at these pieces I hope you can see I am Artist, I am Mommy, I am Human.”
