I wore this leather jacket by Niki in the Har Mar Superstar music video for “It Was Only Dancing (Sex)”, the lead off clip that introduced my album “Best Summer Ever” to the world in 2016. I chose the jacket because of its genius color scheme and hilariously generic representation of American football.

The video starred Mette Narrative (Hustlers, Cats, and the “Lemon” video for N.E.R.D & Rihanna) and I, who end up dance fighting a group of thugs at a Minneapolis dive bar. It was directed by Isaac Gale & David Jensen and choreographed by John Mark.

The jacket is prominently featured in the closing shots that are a double homage to Purple Rain and The Breakfast Club ending freeze frame overlooking an industrial part of town across the Mississippi River.
