Jon Neufeld is an American musician. He plays with the
bands Jackstraw, Martha Scanlan and, until recently,
Black Prairie (featuring members of The Decemberists)
and Dolorean. He is a mastering engineer and a
producer.
Neufeld is best known for his versatile guitar playing.
As Dan Miller of Flatpicking Guitar Magazine wrote, “Jon
Neufeld is one of those guitar players that defies any type of categorization or description of style because he can do it all.” Hence his range from bluegrass to gypsy jazz, folk to rock. Some career highlights include performances at: The Tonight Show, Tiny Desk Concert,
Newport Folk Festival, Bonnaroo. Performed with such artists as: KD Lang, Jim James, James Mercer & Peter Buck.
