I've done a few art jobs for Mike over the years, making posters when we go on tour, shirt designs and also album art. This painting was used to create the cover art for his newest full-length,  “Accompany” which came out about two years ago. He asked if I had anything that might work, so I showed him this piece, and my wife and I combined parts of it with another painting to design all the artwork for the album. The piece uses gouache, a bit of acrylic, and paper on wood. There are some surfers catching a party wave, the recurring double-eyed dog, and people kneepaddling through the cloudy section.
